Navigate to the Slack App Directory and click on “Create an App”:

Then create an app “From an app manifest”:

Enter the following Slack App manifest, as YAML:

Click “Next” and then “Create” to finish creating the app.

Open the new app you just created and then under Settings > Basic Information, copy the Client ID and Client Secret:

Save these credentials, as you’ll need them later in the setup process.

Now that your Slack App has been created, you need to invite it to every channel you and your team will want to interact with Aptible AI and ask questions.

Right click on the channel and select “View channel details”. Navigate to the “Integrations” tab and click “Add an App”:

Select your newly created Slack App and click “Add”. Repeat this process for every channel you want to add Aptible AI to.

Finally, make a note of the channels you’d like to use for training the AI model. To get the best answers from Aptible AI, these channels should contain discussion around past incidents and how they were resolved.

This should be a comma-separated list of channel names, like #channel-one,#channel-two,#channel-three.
